The Church of Philadelphia Kannada congregation was established in June 2007 by Pastor Anil Alva, who was inspired by a divine vision and guided by Senior Pastor Koshy P Matthew. The founding theme was “Reaching the world with love”. The initial group consisted of Pastor Anil, Pastor Valerian Monis, and three other families. Over time, the group grew in numbers as more individuals joined.

In June 2021, Pastor Anil left Bahrain and currently serves in Indian Missions along with 3 other elders now ordained as Pastors, and Pastor Valerian Monis, along with Pastor Ronald Menezes, took over the leadership of the kannada congregation. Elder Br Edwin Pradeep Kumar, Br Dony Robinson & Br Walter castelino assist in the ministration works. The Kannada congregation is driven by the vision of spreading love worldwide and establishing churches in various parts of India and beyond.

Pastor Valerian Monis, with a heart ablaze for the Lord’s work, is steadfastly committed to the Great Commission. He has taken up the divine mandate of discipling all nations through the proclamation and teaching of God’s Word. He finds profound peace in the security that stems from acknowledging God as our Heavenly Father and strives to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit. The journey of the Church of Philadelphia Kannada congregation is a living testament to God’s boundless love and divine guidance. Their story continues to unfold, guided by the hand of God, as they walk in faith and obedience.
