Nepali Congregation, Church of Philadelphia
Nepali Congregation primary mission is the transformation and edification of lives, with Bahrain serving as the foundational training ground for future missions to reach the unreached in Nepal’s villages. Pastor Benny accepted the role of pastor for the Nepali congregation in April 2010, and their faith in the transformative power of the Word of God has been the driving force behind their ministry, despite various challenges.
Starting with a modest group of seven, the congregation has flourished to approximately sixty members. Despite the transient nature of employment in Bahrain, which has seen many members leave, the congregation has innovated outreach through phone conferencing. This allows individuals unable to attend regular services to listen to sermons simultaneously from different locations.
The provision of a place of worship represents a significant blessing from the church of Philadelphia, for which they are deeply grateful. They acknowledge the kindness and support of Senior Pastor and other church leaders. In Nepal, the Nepali Congregation has founded an NGO named Child Protection Foundation to care for orphans and established a church led by a pastor dedicated to missionary work.
